Every piece is hand-curated by Toxome and made from cleaner, lower-toxin natural fibers. Browse by fiber to find clothing that is kinder to your skin and the planet.
kids' leggings and joggers are usually a cotton blend with elastane for stretch, and often a polyester fleece inside where you cannot see it. these bottoms are organic cotton, scored on their full composition, so a soft fleece lining cannot quietly be plastic.
Most fleece is polyester, which means it is a plastic knit that traps heat and sheds microfibers in every wash. Organic cotton fleece exists and behaves the same way to wear. Check the composition, because the word fleece describes the construction, not the fiber.
A few percent is what makes leggings recover their shape, and it is a real trade-off rather than a disqualifier. Toxome shows the percentage so a garment that is 95% organic cotton reads differently from one that is 60% polyester with a stretch claim.
Toxome reads each garment's fiber composition and scores it on what that fiber does to your body, not on a brand's sustainability marketing. A higher score means a cleaner fiber. Composition is taken from what the brand publishes, so the score reflects the label, not our opinion of it.
