99% cotton, 1% elastane
The NCE Wide Leg Jean is 99% cotton, 1% elastane. Cotton is the soft everyday plant fiber, but conventionally grown with heavy pesticides. Elastane is the stretch plastic blended into almost everything, identical to spandex. That composition is what Toxome scores, and it earns 82 out of 100 on the fiber scale, where 100 is cleanest.
