About
A quarter-zip pullover in a soft pebble, built from 65% TENCEL lyocell and 28% SeaCell. Both are the same closed-loop fiber under two names. The 7% elastane is what holds the shape and is also what keeps this off the top tier.
Materials
65% TENCEL Lyocell, 28% Lyocell (SEACELL), 7% elastane.
What the brand names mean
Trademarks on a label describe the fiber, not your exposure. Here is what each one is and what it does not cover. None of it moves the score.
Lyocell with ground Icelandic seaweed mixed in before spinning. It scores well because it is lyocell, made in the closed loop that recaptures over 99 percent of a non-toxic solvent.
The spelled-out TENCEL name guarantees the closed-loop process: the solvent is non-toxic and over 99 percent of it is captured and reused instead of discharged. It is the cleanest regenerated fiber we score.
It covers the fiber, not the finished piece. Dyes and wrinkle-proof coatings go on after spinning, and that is where formaldehyde shows up. Look for OEKO-TEX on the garment too.
