The spelled-out TENCEL name guarantees the closed-loop process: the solvent is non-toxic and over 99 percent of it is captured and reused instead of discharged. It is the cleanest regenerated fiber we score.

It covers the fiber, not the finished piece. Dyes and wrinkle-proof coatings go on after spinning, and that is where formaldehyde shows up. Look for OEKO-TEX on the garment too.

The Seamless Top is 96% lyocell, 4% elastane. Lyocell is a clean fiber regenerated from wood in a closed loop that reuses its solvent. Elastane is the stretch plastic blended into almost everything, identical to spandex. That composition is what Toxome scores, and it earns 80 out of 100 on the fiber scale, where 100 is cleanest.
